Dr. Marius Pruna

I am a specialist in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Microsurgery, with professional training in Romania and France. My work is centred on aesthetic surgery, with a particular dedication to facial surgery, guided by the principle of respecting the natural harmony of the face and achieving results that preserve the expressiveness and identity of each patient.

Training

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the "Iuliu Hațieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca (2007–2013), and subsequently completed my residency in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Microsurgery in Cluj-Napoca.

An important stage in my professional development was my work in France, at CHU Martinique, where between 2020 and 2022 I continued my training and practice in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Microsurgery, working as a specialist.

Experience

During my time in France I carried out complex work, which included facial and body aesthetic surgery as well as reconstructive and oncological surgery. I deepened my experience in facial rejuvenation and harmonisation surgery, alongside aesthetic surgery procedures of the breast and body.

I took an active part in the multidisciplinary management of oncology patients within the Outre-Mer multidisciplinary team meetings (RCP) of the Gustave Roussy Institute, contributing to treatment strategies and to the care of patients with complex conditions.

My surgical experience also included the treatment of patients with severe and extensive burns, as well as body contouring surgery after major weight loss, including following bariatric surgery.

Continuing education

To continually refine my facial aesthetic surgery techniques, I have taken part in international courses and workshops dedicated to facial anatomy, rejuvenation and facelift surgery. These include the ISAPS Fresh Cadaver Aesthetic Surgery Dissection Course on Facial Anatomy and Rhinoplasty, held at the University Hospital of Liège, Belgium, as well as FaceVerse Lisbon (Portugal), an advanced international course dedicated to modern techniques of facial rejuvenation and facelift surgery.

Current practice

In my practice, facial aesthetic surgery is a major area of interest, with an emphasis on facial rejuvenation and harmonisation procedures. I perform procedures such as facelift, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty and otoplasty, as well as aesthetic surgery procedures of the breast and body.

The surgical approach is complemented by minimally invasive aesthetic treatments, such as botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid injections for rejuvenation, redefining the facial contour, balancing the proportions of the face and harmonising the lips, as well as the use of bioresorbable threads.
