Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies and similar local storage technologies the detaliimed.ro website uses, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember certain information between visits or within the same browsing session. Besides classic cookies, the website also uses similar local browser storage mechanisms (localStorage), with a similar function.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled through our settings, being indispensable for services such as securely submitting the contact form. They do not require your consent, under applicable law.
- detaliimed_sess — a session cookie, used to maintain your browsing session (for example, confirmation messages shown after submitting the form). It is automatically deleted when you close your browser.
- CSRF token — tied to your session, protects the website's forms against fraudulent submissions from other sites.
3. Functional local storage
The website uses a few local browser storage keys, for functional purposes, not tracking:
- dmed_cookie_consent — remembers your choice from the cookie banner (accept or reject), so we don't show the banner again on every visit.
This information stays exclusively in your browser and is not sent to our servers.
4. Analytics cookies
The website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, from which type of device and in which language. This information helps us improve the content; it is not used for advertising and is not combined with the data you send us through the form.
Analytics does not start automatically. Until you press "Accept" in the cookie banner, the Google script is not loaded at all: no information about you reaches Google's servers — neither the address of the page you are reading, nor your IP address. If you decline, nothing is loaded and nothing is sent, and the banner will not appear again.
The cookies used are _ga and _ga_<identifier>, with a lifetime of up to 2 years. The IP address is anonymised.
We do not use advertising, remarketing or profiling cookies — advertising storage is permanently disabled, regardless of your choice.
You can change your decision at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings: the banner will reappear on your next visit.
5. Embedded third-party content
The Contact page can display a Google Maps map showing the clinic's location. The map is provided by Google and loads from Google's servers; on that occasion Google may receive your IP address and information about your browser, and may set its own cookies under its own policies, over which we have no control.
For that reason, the map does not load on its own. You first see a panel with the clinic's address and a "Show the map" button: nothing is sent to Google until you press it. If you have already accepted cookies in the banner, the map opens directly, without asking for your agreement a second time.
Choosing to display the map applies to the current visit and creates no analytics cookie. The rest of the page — the written address, the phone number and the directions button — works exactly the same without the map.
6. How you can control cookies
You can manage or delete cookies directly from your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.), including blocking all cookies or those from specific websites. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the correct functioning of the contact form.
You can delete locally stored data (localStorage) at any time from your browser's privacy settings, in the section related to visited websites' data.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever the types of cookies or technologies used by the website change. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the document.
